This course will be delivered online via Zoom. The meetings will be synchronous, and students are expected to attend each weekly session in-person at the given location. Time is allotted towards the lecture and activity segments of the class. Active team participation is highly encouraged, and the skills of autonomous learning and self-sufficiency will be promoted throughout the course.
Year 1: Foundation in Leadership
Course Description
The Youth Leadership Development Course utilizes the framework of 7 Habits of Effective Teens to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to become effective leaders in their school, community, and future endeavors. Year 1 of the course aims to introduce leadership qualities, foster self-confidence, and empower students to make positive contributions to their surroundings.
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of interactive activities, discussions, and real-world projects to develop their leadership potential. They will explore the different levels of leadership, and learn personal strategies for time management.
